Plagiarism Policy

The journal strongly opposes any unethical copying or plagiarism. Plagiarism is said to occur when a significant portion of the manuscript has been copied from a previously published resource. All manuscripts submitted for publication to Fikrotuna: Journal of Islamic Education and Management were double-checked for plagiarism using iThenticate/Turnitin software.

Plagiarism is the unethical act of copying someone else's ideas, processes, results, or words without explicitly acknowledging the original author and source. Plagiarism itself occurs when an author uses a significant portion of their previously published work without using appropriate references. This can include publishing the same manuscript in multiple journals or modifying a previously published manuscript with some new data.

Manuscripts that are found to contain more than 20% plagiarism at the initial stage of review will be immediately rejected and will not be considered for publication in the journal.

1. If a manuscript is identified as plagiarized after publication, the Editor-in-Chief will conduct a preliminary investigation, which may involve assistance from the relevant committee.
2. If the manuscript is found to be plagiarized beyond acceptable limits, the journal will contact the author's Institute/College/University and Funding Agency, if any.
3. The determination of the offense will direct FIKROTUNA: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Manajemen Islam to run a two-way online link to and from the original paper to note the plagiarism and reference the plagiarized material.
4. Papers containing plagiarism will also be flagged on each page of the PDF.
5. After determining the level of plagiarism, the paper may also be officially withdrawn.
