Plagiarism Policy
- The journal is strongly against any act of unethical copying or plagiarism. Plagiarism is said to occur when a significant portion of the manuscript has been copied from a previously published resource. All manuscripts submitted for publication to Fikrotuna: Journal of Islamic Education and Management were double-checked for plagiarism using Turnitin software.
- Plagiarism is the unethical act of copying someone else's ideas, processes, results, or words without explicitly acknowledging the original author and source. Plagiarism itself occurs when an author uses a significant portion of his or her previously published work without using appropriate references. This can include publishing the same manuscript in multiple journals or modifying a previously published manuscript with some new data.
- Manuscripts that are found to contain more than 20% plagiarism at the initial stage of review will be immediately rejected and will not be considered for publication in the journal. If a manuscript is identified as plagiarised after publication, the Editor-in-Chief will conduct a preliminary investigation, which may involve assistance from the relevant committee.
- If the manuscript is found to be plagiarised beyond acceptable limits, the journal will contact the author's Institute/College/University and Funding Agency, if any. The determination of offence will direct Fikrotuna: Journal of Islamic Education and Management to run a two-way link online to and from the original paper to note the plagiarism and reference the plagiarised material.
- Papers containing plagiarism will also be flagged on each PDF page. After determining the level of plagiarism, the paper may also be officially withdrawn.
