Relasi Wahyu dan Sejarah: Rekonstruksi Metodologis Asbāb al-Nuzūl Mikro Makro untuk Tafsir Historis-Kontekstual

This article examines the relationship between revelation and history through an analysis of the concepts of micro and macro asbāb al-nuzūl in Qur’anic and tafsir studies. This topic is significant because understanding the context of revelation plays an essential role in preventing misinterpretations of the Qur’an. However, micro and macro asbāb al-nuzūl are often treated dichotomously, which may lead to historical bias and the reduction of Qur’anic meanings. This study employs a qualitative library research method based on relevant primary and secondary sources. The findings reveal that the relationship between the Qur’an and historical reality is dialogical, as every revealed verse emerged within a particular historical context relevant to the needs of society at that time. Therefore, this study proposes an integrative approach that combines micro and macro asbāb al-nuzūl to achieve a more comprehensive, objective, and contextual understanding of the Qur’an. This approach is expected to minimize historical bias and prevent the reduction of Qur’anic meanings in the process of interpretation.
