Jurnal Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam (JSPAI)

1. Aims and Scope

The Jurnal Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam (JSPAI) publishes scholarly articles that focus on theoretical and empirical studies in the field of Islamic Religious Education. The journal aims to promote academic discourse and the development of research related to Islamic education in schools, madrasahs, universities, and community learning environments.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to:

  • Islamic Religious Education

  • Curriculum and instruction in Islamic education

  • Management of Islamic educational institutions

  • Teaching methods and learning media in Islamic education

  • Character education and moral development

  • Islamic educational thought and philosophy

  • Innovation in Islamic learning practices

  • Integration of Islamic values in education

  • Educational technology in Islamic learning

The journal accepts research articles, conceptual papers, and literature reviews related to the development of Islamic education.

2. General Requirements

Authors submitting manuscripts to JSPAI must comply with the following requirements:

  1. The manuscript must be an original work and must not have been previously published.

  2. The manuscript must not be under consideration by another journal.

  3. Authors are responsible for the accuracy and originality of the content.

  4. Manuscripts may be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia.

  5. Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s Online Journal System (OJS).

3. Article Structure

Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:

Title

The title should be concise, clear, and reflect the main focus of the article.
The title should not exceed 15 words.

Author Information

Include:

  • Full name of the author(s) (without academic titles)

  • Institutional affiliation

  • Email address of the corresponding author

Abstract

The abstract should be written in English and Indonesian and contain 150–250 words.
It should briefly describe:

  • research objectives

  • research methods

  • main findings

  • conclusions

Keywords

Provide 3–5 keywords representing the core topics of the article.

Introduction

The introduction should include the research background, problem formulation, research objectives, and a brief review of relevant literature.

Literature Review

This section discusses theoretical frameworks and previous studies relevant to the research topic.

Research Method

This section explains:

  • research approach and design

  • research location

  • population or research subjects

  • data collection techniques

  • data analysis methods

Results and Discussion

This section presents the research findings and provides an analytical discussion supported by relevant theories and previous studies.

Conclusion

The conclusion summarizes the key findings and highlights the implications of the research.

References

All cited sources must be listed in the reference section.

4. Manuscript Format

Manuscripts must follow these formatting guidelines:

  • Length: 5,000 – 8,000 words

  • Paper size: A4

  • Margins:

    • Top: 3 cm

    • Bottom: 3 cm

    • Left: 3 cm

    • Right: 3 cm

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt

  • Line spacing: 1.5

  • Text alignment: Justified

5. Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively.

  • Table titles should appear above the table.

  • Figure titles should appear below the figure.

  • Data sources must be provided when applicable.

6. Citation and References

The journal uses APA Style (7th Edition) for citations and references.

Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as:

  • Mendeley

  • Zotero

  • EndNote

Reference requirements:

  • Minimum 15 references

  • At least 70% from scientific journal articles

  • Preferably from publications within the last 10 years

7. Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo the following editorial process:

  1. Initial screening by the editorial team.

  2. Double-blind peer review by independent reviewers.

  3. Revision process if required.

  4. Final decision by the editor.

The editorial board reserves the right to accept, reject, or request revisions for submitted manuscripts.

8. Publication Ethics

Authors must comply with academic publication ethics, including:

  • Avoiding plagiarism and self-plagiarism

  • Properly citing all sources

  • Ensuring the authenticity of research data

  • Avoiding duplicate submission

9. Manuscript Submission

Authors must submit manuscripts through the journal’s Online Journal System (OJS).

Authors are required to create an account and follow the submission steps provided in the system.
